OOC 2: Vandal Squadron - same as the first

If Eritram wants to stay and pilot the B-wing, Calsera can join the "away team" (as Ensign Redshirt? ;) )
Dieter 2005-11-30 18:21:16
Does the boarding party have flash-bang type grenades, stun grenades, or at least something that won't breach the shuttle's hull upon activation?
Admiral Duck Sauce 2005-11-30 18:24:35
You have two charges that can blow through a sealed door, a few cutting tools, and blasters. If the stormtroopers coming through the blockade runner in Star Wars didn't have them, why would some rag-tag rebels have space flashbangs? :)

Curse George Lucas and his lack of SWAT tactics! Trouble is, we don't have that front rank of Stormtroopers to take on the initial defensive.

Eritram will stay in the B-Wing - and deliver an ion salvo on demand, to startle the crew before our boarding party assaults.

That's not a bad idea - you'd get more sparkling control panels, flashes of ionization... it'd be like a flashbang anyhow.

If I can, I'd like to join the boarding action. I do have a specialization in it, after all.
CrazyIvan 2005-12-01 04:44:14
Aurelia's gone into dangerous spots before, but she's hardly a boarding specialist.

So, well armed men with guns would be spiffy.
Admiral Duck Sauce 2005-12-01 15:40:35
There wasn't a boarding action. :) The Imps might live if they give up. If they fight, they either get killed in the boarding action or they kill a handful of you and then get wasted by the B-wing.
Dieter 2005-12-01 17:18:22
I wanted to stun them to expedite the process and not have any sort of resistance during the transfer. Who knew the stupid Imperials had any fight left in them.
Admiral Duck Sauce 2005-12-01 17:27:24
Part of it was some shitty rolling (ironically, my game turned into a cripple fight simultaneously with Dieter's) - you all had the first attacks, the stun damage (which isn't any LESS than normal, it just doesn't kill them) just wasn't up to snuff. Typically, Dutch's guy should've ended up floored or unconscious, but then you get the odd configuration of chance that ends up in a boarding action AFTER a surrender.
:)

EDIT: Also, Jorm still has no signals on his scopes, Imperial or otherwise.
Admiral Duck Sauce 2005-12-01 18:05:45
Dutch is at 5/8 Wounds, 8/16 Shock. He isn't going to die but is going to have a penalty to further actions until bacta'd up.

You have 3 stunned Imps and one with a charred matchstick where his head used to be. Dutch is bleeding all over the floor and there's carbon scoring and wrecked electronics everywhere you look.

No kidding! So far, Calsera's d10 in Combat has resulted in two misses. Yeesh!
Admiral Duck Sauce 2005-12-01 19:42:05
Maybe it's karma for being out of the cockpit, I dunno. It'll flip back the other way at some point, dice always do.
DatonKallandor 2005-12-01 20:29:34
What the hell? They surrendered and WE nearly go down?

See, thats the reason Eritram doesnt like personal contact with his enemy.

Ah-ha! Bothan Stun Spores.

We're stocking up on these for the next mission.

Hey Bossman--

Do either Jorm or Aurelia have any type of portable computer rig that might be used to bypass a console that was destroyed in...oh...i don't know... let's say a firefight inside a confined area?
