If Brian was shooting his way out, I think that could have happened. But since he was just running away and nearly botched his attempts, the outcome turned out to be less than desirable.

Not that I'm opposed to Ivan's decision, it's just that I don't think it would have been in-character for Brian to just whip out two 9mms and start blasting the poor cops.

Coming up on the *other* side of the boat, for the getaway.

I considered the John Woo move for a few moments (my plan involved taking a tumble over the car and pegging it from the rear), but Brian would feel *very* bad if he ended two cops who were doing their job.

*Situation update*

-Artis is currently shadowing Ivan and Co.
-Jess, Ayumi, Carla are onboard the boat.
-Brian is in the canal, but will be climbing aboard Carla's boat directly.
-The two policeman who were in pursuit of Brian are going to arrive at the dock in the next storyline post.
-The two policeboats who were approaching the canal will also be arriving in the next post.

Perhaps Jess should lay down some more suppressive fire.
