Did you post a link about the layout or anything? Is it on the water? :)

A laughable drawing of the layout has been mailed to you. :)

Hm, this looks to be a bit tougher than I thought.

Can we get Brian to a good sniping spot? How wide are the "streets" in that jumble of buildings? I think we should maybe try to get another tracking device or bug to Jess or Ayumi.
Dieter 2004-02-03 16:41:12
The buildings around the plaza are 40ft tall (3 floors), so you could conceivably position Brian in a Lee Harvey role.

The streets average between 10-20ft wide, the plaza being 60x60ft.

"Er, 'scusi' ?"

Jess backs away, then walks back into the restaurant and to one of Vercetti's bodyguards.

"Erm, excuse me, do you speak English? I'm looking for the restroom."
Gatac 2004-02-03 17:33:31
Wait, so is she distracting Vercetti's bodyguards? Like, the ones outside? I'm tempted to make with the "pop-pop, sucka!"
Dieter 2004-02-03 18:06:44
I'll give Jess a few more seconds to extricate herself. If things keep going downhill for her, then it's time to give Vercetti some extensive low-gauge body piercings.

Action Dice as appropriate, of course. I believe the situation warrants it.
Gatac 2004-02-03 18:10:48
I reiterate that I have a plan. But then, people not trusting Jess to get out of sticky situations is almost as much of a running theme as Jess getting into sticky situations. :)

What is Artis and Co. doing? Locations of Artis, Carla, and Brian. Where is the Agency car and procured boat?

I'll need to know what their plan is before going too much further with the current scene.
Dieter 2004-02-03 20:35:19
I think Artis should be in the "car", submerged, waiting to tail Ivan's boat if/when they make a getaway. If Threadbare's posting irregularly, I don't want to speak for him, but perhaps Carla in the "real" boat as observer wouldn't be too bad, or maybe Brian. My plan is to let them carry out the hit, then tail them afterwards.
Dieter 2004-02-03 20:41:09
I think it would be in character and very much the part of Brian for him to be up there in the action. That's not to say he's going to run into the plaza guns a' blazing, but I think he'd want to be near Jess when the bullets start flying.

So, we'll run it like this with minor edits along the way if needed:

Artis will be submerged in the Agency vehicle whilst Carla waits in the getaway boat. Ivan will be giving the play-by-play from a good vantage point in the plaza. (i.e. somewhere close, but still able to beat feet back to Carla if necessary)
Gatac 2004-02-03 23:09:55
Besides, I figure any further attempt at undress will quickly be aborted when the goon stumbles upon Jessica's extensive collection of scars. After all, she's been one of the primary bullet soakers.

Actually, most of those wounds were treated by Agency surgeons within hours of injury. To be blunt, the Agency values your body just as much as the brain inside it. You just can't have a Faceman all scarred up. It's like trying to sell a vintage Ferrari when you've got bullet holes and the primer's showing.

Remember that virtually 95% of all damage taken during combat is VP not WP. It's only when you actually take wound damage where you get the horrible disfigurements and scarring. Just ask Harry. :)
