Davis talks Angel out of a plan that involves "blow down the door and murder everything" and then goes and does this?
Angel votes for "blow down the door and murder everything."

I'm thinking we swap out their interrogator with one of our choosing so we can get Davis to flub answers; doesn't Gorlan have a business partner he could hook us with?
Of course, we'll need to intercept the real Truthseeker and make sure he never gets there, and Vortala might not be willing to cooperate, and we'll probably need to find some way to let Davis know not to kill our guy when he walks through the door. It's risky, but if it succeeds, we can divert the Throne agents long enough to give our con job a fighting chance.
But I wouldn't mind cutting loose and going on a murder spree again.

Using Vortala is... all right, that's fairly inspired actually. Gorlan has a vested interest in helping free Davis - after all, if Davis goes down for being a terrorist, Gorlan's going with him. And Vortala's already mentioned that the removal of the Iyuzo and Gorlan's elevation would help him move product. He'll agree to a Cyllan-swapping plan if that's what you guys want to go with.
In that case, you'll need Maq's people to find the Truthseeker AND where Davis is being held. That's a tall order, but if that's all you need from them they can handle it.
---
Killing everyone is certainly an option. In this scenario, you'd need to ensure there are no Throne agents out roaming around. The safehouse itself would have surveillance and tracking info on the agents, so you could confirm your success after the fact for certain, but you could use Maq's people to find Davis' location and then case the joint for a headcount (rather than tracking down the Truthseeker). You'd probably have to wait for the Truthseeker to arrive and hit them fast.
That's how I see the two plans proposed thus far. Any other ideas, I can lay out what'd be involved like I did with these two.

I like the idea of swapping in our own Cyllan very much.

Me too.

So do I.
Then killing everyone.
...what?

My thought process is, we need to stop that train and send our Cyllan with a fake escort in its place. If we can trap the truthseeker's posse in a confined space, I have a feeling they'll be more amiable to our suggestions re: surrender.

How do we stop the train? If we can get it to work, I like it.
I imagine we could shut it down electronically, either by hacking it or shutting down the power. Or we could talk to the guy in charge and have him shut down the train itself, since we'll be dressed up like Turai and such. Bonus points if we convince him/her/it that the Throne agents on board are actually imposters.
I'm not sure we should bother with surrender terms, though. The last thing we want to do is give them time to warn Perus, or let them try to buttfuck us later when we least expect it. I'd rather tie off this loose end with an ammo belt while we get bonus die for an ambush.
I'm still behind stopping the train, though. Nice thinking, Gatty.

Yes, yes, and yes. All 3 of those would stop the train, although #3, where you tell the guy to stop the train? That one probably involves some voxing back to dispatch and rerouting traffic and checking IDs. #1, hacking, can handle the rerouting and stopping the train, but is more difficult. You at least can stop the train, and if rerouting fails then you basically have #2, where the train stops mysteriously without power. Cutting the power will raise technical teams to check out the problem, so there's a time limit inherent in that plan, but while harder than simply bossing the driver into stopping the train, it's easier than trying to hack into the tubeway infrastructure.
So:
1. Hack. Difficult, but complete success results in stopped train and no traffic emergencies. Partial success results in stopped train and traffic alerts. Since they'll know where the train is, the timeframe is less than cutting the power.
2. Cut the power. Moderate difficulty, will stop the train and provide a window before workers show to see what the problem is.
3. Respect mah authoritah! Easy to stop the train, but likely will result in a short timeframe as partial success under #1.

Or you could just hit the emergency stop, kill them, toss the bodies off the train and then release the emergency stop. Or stick a hunk of foamcrete in the sliding doors to jam them open, preventing the train from moving, and then the whole gun-death thing, and then pull the foamcrete out and the train moves as normal.

That plan relies on absolute speed. Assuming the train stoppage / door jamming signals the start of combat round 1, if you can kill everyone and remove the blockage by the end of the round, it won't register on the main tubeway system as a maintenance/traffic issue.
And it looks like we're going with the maximum speed plan. I'm working on an update.
Working on a suitably apocalyptic update for back at the ranch.
Zaef gets +1 WD for coming up with using Vortala to impersonate the truthseeker.

Could Luis whip up a quick voice pitch changer for Davis' Turai helm? Something Davis could tune so he sounds like, say, Perus?

Sure. Davis remembers Perus' voice as well as he can, and you think Luis got pretty close.
ROBOT GHOST BATTLE.

All in.
All in.

We are very much to the end of this mission. I'll have a denouement posted tomorrow and then ending montages for the Hedion principals sometime soon after that.
If you have anything else to say or do, today is the time.

Added in Luis and Arketta's scene in Adam's post, flexing my new mod powers.
I can't figure out how to slide posts in in between older posts yet, if I can.
