OOC: Babes in the Woods
If those roles are all right, we'll roll with it. We can put everyone in a fighter if they want, though, and if you think you'd be better in something else let me know.
I'm good.

I think Ty should be in the cockpit on this flight. His skill in close-quarters manuevering in this size of vessel is one of his aspects, after all. Thus, given the traffic, and the fact that I really want to, I believe he should.
Detecting major plot development astern!
Do I need a callsign?
We tried callsigns other than "Vandal 1, 2, 3 etc.." but it didn't seem to catch on. Mostly we just refer to characters by their name, though I enjoy using Jorm's callsign of "Nerfherder".
I'm sure we'd have a lot of fun coming up with callsigns for each other, though.

I was looking in some of the early threads and came across your early discusions on the topic of callsigns. I think some of those would work well. Cat for Calsera, Hotshot for Mandall. Which characters are actively being played?
Yeah, I'd be fine with that.

Arnae's kind of been relegated to NPC status; Infested Paladin is welcome to reclaim him at any time, but he's pretty busy so it's cool. Everyone else gets around to posting in good time.
And I'm in the office today and at parent's house tonight, so my posting will be limited. I'll try to get to the point of the RTB call as soon as I can.

Okay, so we have a mission. I have one out of character question in addition to the ones in the game. How would my character's primary aspect, eclectic knowledge at d10 come into this? Do you roll a die to see whether he knows some piece of local trivia, and if so, how do I ask you to?
It works two ways - sometimes I'd impose a penalty if one's character wouldn't really have any idea how to do a task (I use a lot of common sense and a bit of GM fiat to make up for keeping the system as simple as I can). Ty's not going to run into that as much. He knows, at least theoretically, how cybersurgery's supposed to work, or how to plant explosives, or what not to say to the bugbeasts of Glorzon V.
If it's some piece of information that you (the player) are wondering about that might not be apparent, then ask away and yes, I'd make a roll and see if Ty knows it, or if he doesn't, or maybe he's misinformed.

He wouldn't happen to know of any small Imp vessels large enough to haul about a squadron of TIE fighters into and then back out of a system, but small enough to be run with only minimal crew borrowing from the Sword's flight crew, and located in someplace easy to get to within the mission timeframe? I'm thinking essentially a hanger bay with an engine compartment at the rear and crew spaces on top? I'm fishing for a way to get more fighter support on the scene earlier without violating the Imperial "look" of the mission. A Blastboat and the Echo are a little shy of the firepower to take out a convoy which will presumably have some sort of armed escort.
Don't worry about the escort, that's why we have Mandall and Cat.

I don't personally know of any. From what I understand, the Empire does things very very big or very very... disposable. Does anyone else know anything that'd fit the bill?
Well, yeah, but what are they going to fly? X-wings? Y-wings? We might as well paint the rebelion crest on the Echo and Sith Eater and then set the comm system to bo\roadcast "We're only pretending to be Imperials" on all frequencies. To really maintain the illusion, we need a few TIE fighters and something Imp to drop them in-system.
Well, Mandall's going in the TIE Advanced, of course. Shields, hyperdrive, guns - what more do you need?

Note that, while Mandall's a slightly better pilot, Calsera's actually a better escort fighter.
We'll see how that prediction works out, I guess.

I'm gonna have to say "no" on the small fighter-armed Imperial ship. The only thing close I could find was the Escort Carrier, like what you guys trashed at the end of the last mission. And it's 500 meters long with an optimal crew of three thousand.
In return, Kolit will be able to snag a captured assault shuttle from Mon Calamari command. That's three slugger-type ships and Mandall's single fighter. Crew positions are as follows:
Sith Eater (Skipray): Pilot, up to two gunners
Echo: Pilot, co-pilot/gunner, two turret gunners, systems officer
Assault shuttle: Pilot, gunner, optional tailgunner
People can mix and match jobs, of course. Every ship can be flown by a single pilot if need be, but as I've said before, more people equal more actions.
