OOC: XIV - As in Louis XIV, minus the powered wig and frilly

I'll attempt the shot, pour an action die on it.

...and that's what a 45' range increment will do to you. :)

Uh...it's a 22 Hornet in a heavy frame. One of the most widely reported features of the Raging Hornet is that recoil is minimal at best.

But Peter handloads ammo, so he simply could have hit a very "hot" cartridge. That's what 4 AM ammunition work does to you...

Fixed...

Sorry, I read "Taurus Revolver" and immediately thought ".454 Casul"

Now I don't want to toot my own horn here, but as you can see, a character with a decent Dexterity score can be very, very effective as revolver sniper.

Good. I'll get my AK-something-or-other ready and provide suppressive fire so you can actually hit them then. :)

On a sidenote, the topic subtitle still talks of a mechanized hairpiece.

And the fact that it's taken nearly 4 months for someone to address that typo, it's going to stick around for posterity. :)

Actually, I warned about this back on September 23rd last year, as clearly visible on the first page of this topic.

Can I attack the pistol, like knock it out of the way, or even better, cut the guy's hand off?

You can either knock the gun out of his hand with a disarm attack or attempt to take control over the weapon with a grapple attack. Attacking the guy's wrist would be a called shot and be the hardest to do of the three options.

You get a surprise bonus, so that will offset some of the attack penalties.

Will 8 ranks in Diplomacy finally pay off? Find out in the next exciting scene of Shaken, Not Stirred!

Well, I'm not asking you to roll up a new character, so it went alright.
punkey 2005-01-10 19:40:54
Hey, some of us fail Diplomacy stuff and still don't need to re-roll characters. Well, others do, but I don't...

:)
Gatac 2005-01-10 20:27:44
Oh, that's evil of you, Dieter! Very evil indeed! :)

Dieter 2005-01-10 20:32:08
It's not what you're probably thinking, but it -is- evil in its conception.

Clarification:

Gordon, your character would only be able to see one man in the corridor. He is currently nursing his mangled hand after Ayumi went Snickety-Snack(TM) with her blades.

You will have the drop on him should he decide to do something foolish...like pull another weapon or charge towards you.

Okay, Jacque will definitely perforate Mr. Hand-Stump if he does anything stupid.
