*sigh* another case of us snatching partial defeat from the jaws of victory...Brian chooses the just keep shooting method, concentrating on whoever might be able to get taken down, until someone in a uniform tells him to drop the gun.
At this point you're not sure what the hell's going on.
Do you?
a) Go down in a blaze of government gunfire
b) Start negotiating terms
c) Finish the job and kill everyone inside the suite.
d) Curse the GM for giving you a no-win situation. (Really, this wasn't my intention...really.)
Letter "d" is an option, but must be accompanied by another letter.
Hm...I say Artis and co. surrender for now. Jess and Harry make a silent exit; we can always attempt to bail the lot later. I don't think you have the kind of firepower to take on the entire LVPD.
Good thing it's only the police. I think you guys can survive their interrogation methods while we organise a rescue. If push comes to shove, anyway...
I suppose getting arrested and orchestrating a jailbreak later would be too easy a way out, hm ?
Ah fuck, what am I saying. I'm as big a fan of a good dramatic "going down guns blazing" scene as anyone else here. Count me in for the NC-17 ending. (Not for Jess, of course )
As it stands right now, Jess and Harry are pretty much free and clear. Using Jess' wealth and safe house feats, they can spend the rest of their days on a beach in Tahiti.
Gatac, I'll have to double-check the rulebook, but I know you get an extra feat at 6th level.
I -think- that means you can take the feat "5-Star Service".
You can basically pull a James Bond like he did at the hotel in Hong Kong in "Die Another Day".
JB, having just escaped from the MI6 detention area, swims to the shores of Hong Kong. In just his pajama bottoms, he walks right into the poshest hotel in all of Hong Kong. The concierge immediately recognizes him and sets him up in the presidential suite...no questions asked.
Of course, he was also being monitored by the Chinese Secret Police, but that is another tale.
I've seen Die another day. Twice. Once dubbed and once original. So I know, and I have no excuse not to.
Concerning the feat: Yay ! Concerning 6th level: shit, just got my head around the last update...ah well, all mortal toil is fragile and easily rendered redundant.
