OOC: XIII - Thirteen...thirteen...thirteen steps.

Adam, TB...you guys in for the next chapter, or should I run your character as NPCs for the time being?

How badly did I hurt the guy? It sounds like Wounds, but that either means the guy didn't have much vitality, or it was massive damage / a critical.

I edited the damage classification in CAMPAIGN COMMENTS.

The gunman in Jess' face is in the "Wounded-soon-to-be-Screwed" category.

TB's ou until at least the 21st.

Ah, thanks for the update. I'll just steer around him until he comes back.

Being stupid, but isn't the Mauser german? The Mousin-Nagat was Russian, iirc.

Or, is Dieter's "Honorable, pastoral ideal of a Siberian farmer" really a dirty kraut ;)
fanchergw 2004-06-18 20:24:55
I believe the Mauser is a WWII era weapon. When the Germans invaded Russia and subsequently got kicked out, it's not hard to believe a fair number of weapons got left lying around. War souveniers tend to be popular.

Ok, here's the deal about Fyodor's boom-sticky-boom.

Go me for fucking up historical accuracy. Here's what the lovely Jess is currently shootin'. If we're talking specifics, the 1938 model is the one you should be looking at.

Additionally, with the exception of some minor modifications to the 1898 design, the Wehrmacht of WWII were using the same damn Mauser their fathers had in WWI.
Gatac 2004-06-18 23:04:56
I was wondering about that, too, but since both are 5 shot bolt-action rifles in a bigass caliber, I don't find the mixup too tragical. :)

What is this? Jess wins a firefight?

I just know there's a setup somewhere in that, I just need to figure out where. :)

Wonders never cease. Jess had the drop on the gunman and scared his partners shitless when he was dropped.

In other news, Fyodor's granddaughter is perhaps in her late twenties. I'm thinking Kate Beckinsdale with a sex-ay Slavic accent...ala Van Helsing.

I'll need a plan of attack for "Operation: Early Retirement".

I'm all for doing it "loud." We've got machine guns. We meet up wherever we're dropping the mercedes off at. Or we try to sneak in with the mercedes, but that seems like it could blow up in our faces.

I say carla or ayumi infiltrates, and we'll need some kind of ramp.
CrazyIvan 2004-06-23 00:52:16
I take it helicopter gunships are out of the question?

I like the guns, lots of guns approach. This light hearted "if we kill a couple, they'll go away" business has gotten us nowhere. Time to bring down the house.
threadbare 2004-06-23 16:38:12
We don't have anything to bust down the gate with, do we? I mean, besides the mustang, and that'd be an inappropriate use of resources. That's why we need a ramp. :)

But I'm thinking Artis would like nothing better to ram the gate at full speed. ;)

There's always explosives...or (perish the thought) being stealthy and getting all Sam Fisher on their ass.

Psst...check out the park, my TEP might still be there. After all, can't have enough weapons.
