POST-MORTEM/OOC: IX - Aftermath and Afterwords

Dieter 2003-03-12 19:12:26
This will be the new home for individual and group awards/rewards. It is completely out-of-character and non-plot related.

Categories and nominees TBA.

Shazam!

Go almost-dead team, go!

Make sure to make us look heroic on the newscast Gatty :)
Gatac 2003-03-12 19:27:11
I don't think Jess is in the mood for a happy little newscast. I mean, she and Art are the only members of the original team who got out of the whole thing unscathed.

I'll not wait for the nominations, my vote goes out for Gavin. Crashing the helicopter you're on to prevent two criminals from escaping requires major cochones.

If you guys have any suggestions for categories, I'd appreciate the input.

Annoying snoops: Buzzard versus Raven
Most satisfying death of annoying snoop: Buzzard versus Raven, take two
Not who you'd think: Samantha versus The General
Jess can't hit: Decker Hideout versus the latest Car Chase
Jess can hit: Assasins at the airport versus Andrew under the table
Most Justified Use of "That was half speed !": No nominations, I'm too lazy to find them

I'd like to personally nominate IP for a free level when he creates his next character. (he'd start at level 6, as if he did not losing a level for dying).

I second that.

Heroics = Good. Especially when they screw over a character. That choice should not also screw over the player.

Best Use of Estrogen: Jess, Samantha
Dieter 2003-03-12 20:12:23
Hey Gatty...go idea.

We'll have none of that democracy shit here. A second motion is the only thing that is needed for the award to pass.

*Cue Drunken Czech Fanfare and Rose Petal Throwers.*

AWARD #1

Infested Paladin, for heroics and valor beyond the call of duty, you are bestowed one full level to be used at the time of character creation.
Dieter 2003-03-12 20:16:54
At this time, I'm also closing out the "Birds of (insert snazzy name)" trademark. You'll understand why later, but for right now, the team needs a new gimmick.

Ideas?
Dieter 2003-03-12 20:38:23
Oops, I should have mentioned that we're going with an Asian (Korea/China/Japan) theme.
Gatac 2003-03-12 20:46:43
That sounds cool - it lets us stick with the animal theme. If we base on the -player-'s year, my codename'd be Snake. If it's by the -agent-'s year, Artis'd be Dragon.

Or we could go Metal Gear style:
I'm "Buckshot Echidna"! A good one might also be "Howitzer Panda"! "Grenade Chinchilla"?
Gatac 2003-03-12 20:50:48
Er, if at all, then Agent's year. I'm a pig, you know :)

"Bulletproof Hamster" ?

Gatac
Gatac 2003-03-12 20:52:27
I'm for the Chinese Zodiac signs, just not player year ... Agent Sheep just doesn't have a good ring to it. :)
Dieter 2003-03-12 21:03:54
Yeah, Agent Goat would be kinda lame.

I'm going with Japanese Mythology.

Pick one and post it here. Try not to choose long and hard to spell/remember names like "Futsu-Nushi-no-Kami".

Extra brownie points for using small names like "Fudo".

Fudosan, Nihonshoku o tabesukete inai yabanjin desu.

Roughly translated (I don't speak a damn bit of Japanese)

Agent Fudo, I am too barbaric to eat a Japanese breakfast.
Gatac 2003-03-12 21:03:55
Well, Jess can't get a break at her birthdate either - monkey, anyone ?

Or we just say "Fuck this" and choose arbitarily.

"Koshin" - Japanese god of the roads. Quite fitting, if I say so. :)
